How We Review
We’re a fashion-research site, not a testing lab — and we think that’s a strength, not a weakness, as long as we’re honest about it. This page explains exactly how our guides are built, what we can tell you, and what we can’t.
What we actually do
For every guide we:
- Pull the brand’s live product data — every price, size, fabric weight and fibre content, read directly from the store’s own catalog on the date shown at the top of the article.
- Convert everything to one unit so brands can be compared fairly (for example, fabric weight in ounces converted to GSM at 33.906 g/m² per oz/yd²).
- Summarize what verified buyers report — recurring themes across published customer reviews, not a single cherry-picked quote.
- Score each option on a transparent, weighted system (below), and show the working.
Everything is dated, and everything is sourced.
Our scoring system
Every product guide uses the same weighted criteria, so you can see why one option ranked above another rather than taking our word for it:

What we can — and can’t — tell you
We can verify, from a distance: price, fabric weight, fibre content, size availability, and the brand’s own published fit guidance. These are printed facts, and we check them against the source.
We can’t tell you how a garment feels after twenty washes, whether the stitching holds, or how true a colour looks in daylight — because no one here has physically handled the item. No spec sheet answers those questions, and we never pretend otherwise. Where long-term durability matters most to you, buy one piece before committing to a wardrobe.
You’ll never read the words “I tested this” or “I wore it for months” on this site. We didn’t, and saying so would be a lie.
Why trust research over a single reviewer
One person can wear a hoodie and tell you how it felt on them. What they usually can’t do is read every brand’s catalog, convert incompatible fabric-weight units, count size availability across hundreds of styles, and line it all up in one table. That’s the gap we fill — the comparison work that’s tedious for a human but is exactly where the buying decision actually lives.
How this site makes money
Some links on our guides are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That’s it — brands don’t pay us for placement or for a good ranking, and a product can’t buy its way up our scoring. If it could, the scoring would be worthless, and so would we.
Every page with affiliate links says so, at the top, before the content.
Who’s behind it
Elina Harts is an AI-made fashion-research project. The videos on our TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook feature an AI host and are labelled as AI content on every platform. The research, specs and comparisons behind them are real, dated and sourced — the presenter is synthetic; the numbers are not.
